About Dufferin County Museum Facility Rental
Facility Rentals

The main DCMA facility is a large barn-like structure with soaring ceiling heights featuring a series of unique exhibit gallery spaces, kitchen and dining facilities.  A number of historic buildings are preserved and uniquely located inside the museum.  Each rental request is handled and designed individually with your input to deliver maximum enjoyment, uniqueness and attention to detail.  Whether a meeting or event, large or small, common spaces available for rent in the main Museum & Archives facility include:

Main Gallery (Level 2):  our largest, open space featuring high ceilings, stone floors, large picture window overlooking the Mulmur hills, main museum artifact displays in custom cabinetry, historic buildings and features (such as stained glass and wrought iron spiral staircase), reception desk and access to main washrooms, tearoom and gift shop.  The Gallery is directly accessed via the DCMA’s “at grade” main entrance, with automatic door.

Mezzanine Gallery (Level 3): a smaller 1000 square foot gallery space that immediately overlooks the Main Gallery and historic buildings below.  This space features the same beautiful display cabinetry and stone floors as the Main Gallery, some of the facility’s best interior views, same-floor access to kitchen/prep and washroom facilities, and is accessible by stairs and elevator.

Silo Gallery (Level 4): a unique space at the Top of the Silo (Level 4) featuring curved walls and spectacular views of the museum gardens, grounds and surrounding countryside.  This gallery space regularly features the works of local artists or items from the DCMA artifact collections.

Rich Hill Lodge Building: a cozy and rustic space within the larger Main Gallery, the Rich Hill Lodge features exposed square log walls and closeable windows and front door for privacy.  A popular space for meetings and smaller receptions.

Tearoom: located on our main floor just off the Main Gallery, the tearoom is a comfortable space that can be configured for sit-down meals or a larger meeting table, with direct access to our largest kitchen and preparation spaces.  Sharing this larger open space with the DCMA gift shop (which features the one-of-a-kind works of local artists and artisans) adds colour and uniqueness to events and meetings held there.

Meeting/Lunchroom: a cozy and functional space located just off the Mezzanine Gallery on our Third Level, this space is perfect for small meetings, has washroom access, and affords great views from its bright windows.

Archives Reading Room: this space on our lower level is available for meetings and workshops, and features moveable desks and chairs, and a large retractable projection screen.  Accessible washrooms are just outside the doors, and easy access to the museum’s Large Artifact Storage Room – a highlight of any visit to the DCMA!
