Forgotten Migrants: British Home Children in Dufferin County – Seminar and Workshop

Saturday September 30 at 2 pm

Between 1863 and 1949 over 100,000 children were sent from the UK to Canada as “Home Children”. Today, Canada is home to over four million descendants of these British Home Children and yet most Canadians are completely unaware of their story. Join Lori Oschefski, Founder and CEO of the British Home Children Advocacy & Research Association and Laura Camilleri, Dufferin County Archivist as they tell the stories of some of Dufferin County’s Home Children and lead a research workshop on what clues and tips can help you identify the Home Child in your family tree and how to tell their story.

Reserve tickets by phone: 877.941.7787 or email: as space is limited.

Admission: $15.00 / Members: $10.00
