The DCMA Corn Flower Collection
The DCMA holds the largest public collection of Corn Flower glassware, with approximately 750 coloured and clear glass pieces. The Dufferin County Museum is home to the family and business archives of W.J. Hughes & Sons Corn Flower Limited, including several one-of-a-kind glassware pieces created by W.J. Hughes for family members and friends. Museum staff, with the assistance of the Canadian Depression Glass Association and Pete Kayser, former company president, are in the process of identifying the many glass blanks on which Corn Flower was cut. Some reference materials, including photographs, are available for researchers' use. The Museum gift shop offers a selection of W.J. Hughes & Sons Corn Flower Limited glassware for sale, on consignment. New donations of Corn Flower to the DCMA collection are always
welcome.
