Dr. Esther Finegan and her students study thermoregulation at the University of Guelph. This is the study of how animals keep a comfortable body temperature. Elephants, hippos, rhinos, giraffes: how do these big beasts control their internal thermostat? And what about the smaller animals like lions and tigers that have fur? And did you know that when a zebra stands in the sunshine his or her black stripes are at least 10°C hotter than the white stripes? Come, find out. See temperature photos of these animals and of yourself as you sit in the audience.

Cost: Tickets $10 or $5 for DCMA members
