The purpose of the project is to honour those who served in a military capacity during war time or peace –  those who left their mark in Dufferin County either by birth, death, attending school, working or living their lives here. Dufferin Remembers includes the names of individuals, with a connection to Dufferin County, along with the story of our local militia regiment and WW1 battalion.

Conflicts

Veterans from Dufferin County have participated in conflicts and military operations around the world. These range from the Napoleonic Wars to the two World Wars to the war in Afghanistan. Military personnel were also called upon for peace support operations.
