Yes we do! Check out our main exhibit activities and don’t forget to follow us here or on social media to get updates about upcoming program offerings.

Our main exhibit changes every 2 years. Smaller or temporary exhibits typically change every 2-4 months. Check out our exhibits and art shows page for details, dates, and locations.

Objects on display are often changed and may not be back in the galleries for some time. However, the Curator or Curatorial Assistant may be able to answer questions you have about objects in the collection.

The MoD’s collection is far too large to exhibit all at one time. Objects are rotated to show the largest number, and to prevent fragile items from being damaged.

The MoD is home to over 18,000 object (artifact) records, 11,000 archival records, and 9000 photograph records. In some cases, multiple objects, documents or photographs are contained within a single record.

Yes, however, we ask that visitors refrain from taking photographs of artwork displayed in galleries and art shows.

No, unfortunately we cannot guarantee a peanut-free facility. To help minimize risk of exposure for persons with peanut allergies, we encourage visitors to avoid bringing food containing peanuts into the museum.

Please share the air. The MoD kindly asks visitors to refrain from wearing scents or fragrances such as perfumes that can cause allergic reactions.

All service animals are welcome in the museum. Pets may visit provided they are kept on a leash or in a carrier, are clean, vaccinated, free of disease and behavioural problems, and are not disruptive to the visitor experience. The visitor bringing the pet is responsible for it during the visit. We ask that pets do not attend programs and events where food and beverages are served.

Yes, the MoD maintains a small gift shop of local and branded products, including W.J. Hughes Corn Flower.

The MoD does not sell food or snacks. Visitors are welcome to bring their own food to enjoy in our lounge area or at a picnic table. We kindly ask visitors to refrain from eating in exhibit galleries. We are happy to recommend restaurants and shops nearby or in the area.
