Booking a Program at the MoD
The MoD offers a range of on-site programs for children’s groups. Organizers can build their preferred schedule for a half day, full day or evening program by choosing from the activities below.
Program Formats
Half-Day Program: Choose one to three of the thirty minute activities and/or choose zero to one of the one hour activities.
Full-Day Program: Choose one to six of the thirty minute activities and/or choose one to three of the one hour activities.
Evening Program: Available upon request, contact the education team to discuss suitable programs.

1 Hour | Suitable for 9+ | Takeaway Component
Candle Making – Learn about historic candle making then craft your own
Soap Making – Explore Early Settler soap use and create your own soap
Knitting or Crochet – Learn the basic skills of crochet or knitting
Art Zone
1 Hour | Suitable for 9+ | Takeaway Component
Glass Painting – Learn about historic stained glass and paint your own
Polymer Clay Magnets – Make your own unique clay magnet
Botanical Printing – Create botanical prints with natural materials
Further Information
Cost: Program fees start at $7 + HST per participant, adults and/or carers are free.
- We request an adult to child ratio of 1:8, additional adults will be charged general admission.
- The prices of our 1 hour activities may vary by supply costs, our team will provide up-to-date quotes.
