THE HISTORIC CORBETTON CHURCH
Built in 1885 as the Corbetton Wesleyan Methodist Church, the building later became St. James United in 1925 and served its community for 112 years until closing in 1997. Relocated in 1999 to the grounds of the MoD, this restored church—once the heart of Corbetton—now offers a beautiful setting for weddings, christenings, memorials, concerts, and other gatherings.
Corbetton Church is now available for rent year-round!
Rates:
1 Hour or less: $100.00 + HST
Base Fee – $650.00 + HST (4 hours)
Additional hour: $100 + HST
Cleaning Fee: $25.00 + HST
About:
The space has a maximum occupancy of 100 people* and features an accessible ramp at the side of the building, free guest parking, and complimentary museum admission for rental guests during regular open hours; we are also happy to provide a list of local reception venues and event photographers upon request.

THE LOUNGE / THE PROGRAM ROOM
Just steps away from the main gallery, the Museum Lounge offers a private, tucked-away space perfect for birthday parties, meetings, and small gatherings. With a cozy atmosphere and easy access to the Museum’s exhibits, it’s a great spot for an event that feels personal and memorable.
Rates:
Base fee: $200.00 + HST (3 hours)
Additional hour: $50.00 + HST per hour
Cleaning Fee: $25.00 + HST
About:
The space can accommodate up to 35 guests without seating or 25 guests with seating, allows food and drink within the rental room only, offers access to the exhibition spaces during regular museum hours, and can support a variety of table layout options.
THE MAIN GALLERY
The Main Gallery offers a generous amount of space for events, with the added benefit of being fully surrounded by the Museum’s exhibits. It’s an ideal setting for celebrations and gatherings that benefit from an open, engaging atmosphere. The open layout encourages guests to mingle, explore, and enjoy the space at their own pace.
The Main Gallery is available for rental after hours only: Sundays, Mondays, or after 4:30 PM.

Base Fee: 850.00 + HST (4 Hours)
Additional hour: $100.00 + HST per hour
Conservation Fee: $25.00 + HST
About:
The space can accommodate up to 200 guests without seating, 115 guests with seating, or 85 guests in a lecture-style setup. Artifacts on display cannot be moved or altered for rental requests. Food and drink must be pre-approved by the venue coordinator. The rental includes access to the main floor, third floor, and fourth floor.
THE ARCHIVES
The Archives room offers a quiet, distinctive setting surrounded by the Museum’s collections. Ideal for meetings and small gatherings, this space provides a unique atmosphere where history becomes part of the experience.
Rates:
Base rate: $200.00 + HST (3 hours)
Additional hour: $50 + HST per hour
About:
The space can accommodate approximately 15–20 people with seating; food and drink are not permitted, guests may explore the exhibition spaces during regular museum hours, and some table layout options are available.
THE GROUNDS
Rent the Museum grounds for a beautiful outdoor event. With split rail fences, a heritage orchard, gardens, and a gazebo, the space offers a picturesque setting framed by rolling countryside views. It’s also perfect for outdoor yoga sessions, photography backdrops, and any gathering that benefits from a scenic natural setting.

1 Hour or Less: $100.00 + HST
Base Fee (4 hours): $500.00 + HST
About:
This space includes access to main facility for washrooms. Climbing on structures, fences, or sculptures is not permitted.
