THE HISTORIC CORBETTON CHURCH
About:
Built in 1885 as Corbetton Wesleyan Methodist Church, this church became St. James United in 1925 and served the community for 112 years before closing in 1997. Relocated to the MoD in 1999 and restored in 2025, it now hosts weddings, memorials, concerts, and more. The space holds up to 100 people and offers an accessible ramp, free parking, and complimentary museum admission during open hours, with local venue and photographer recommendations available upon request.
Rates:
1 Hour or less: $100.00 + HST
Base Fee (4 hours) – $650.00 + HST
Additional hour: $100 + HST
Cleaning Fee: $25.00 + HST
THE LOUNGE / THE PROGRAM ROOM
About:
Steps from the main gallery, the Museum Lounge is a cozy, private space ideal for parties, meetings, and small gatherings. It accommodates up to 35 standing or 25 seated guests, allows food and drink in-room, includes exhibit access during open hours, and supports flexible table layouts.
Rates:
Base fee: $200.00 + HST (3 hours)
Additional hour: $50.00 + HST per hour
Cleaning Fee: $25.00 + HST
THE MAIN GALLERY
About:
The Main Gallery offers a generous amount of space for events, with the added benefit of being fully surrounded by the Museum’s exhibits. It’s an ideal setting for celebrations and gatherings that benefit from an open, engaging atmosphere. The open layout encourages guests to mingle, explore, and enjoy the space at their own pace. It accommodates up to 200 standing, 115 seated, or 85 lecture-style guests. Artifacts cannot be moved, and food and drink require approval. Rentals include access to the main, third, and fourth floors.
The Main Gallery is only available for rent after hours (Sundays, Mondays, or after 4:30 PM).

Base Fee (4 Hours): 850.00 + HST
Additional hour: $100.00 + HST per hour
Conservation Fee: $25.00 + HST
THE ARCHIVES
About:
The archives reading room offers a quiet, distinctive setting surrounded by the Museum’s collections. Ideal for meetings and small gatherings, this space provides a unique atmosphere where history becomes part of the experience. The space can accommodate approximately 15–20 people with seating; food and drink are not permitted, guests may explore the exhibition spaces during regular museum hours, and some table layout options are available.
Rates:
Base rate (3 hours): $200.00 + HST
Additional hour: $50 + HST per hour
THE GROUNDS
About:
Rent the Museum grounds for a beautiful outdoor event. With split rail fences, a heritage orchard, gardens, and a gazebo, the space offers a picturesque setting framed by rolling countryside views. It’s also perfect for outdoor yoga sessions, photography backdrops, and any gathering that benefits from a scenic natural setting. This space includes access to main facility for washrooms. Climbing on structures, fences, or sculptures is not permitted.
Rates:
1 Hour or Less: $100.00 + HST
Base Fee (4 hours): $500.00 + HST
